The Academy is interested in applicants who will graduate to become caring, competent and knowledgeable practitioners. Our program requires a high level of commitment to learning a number of difficult skills. Accordingly, we seek applicants who can demonstrate that they have the maturity, commitment and motivation for the rigors of this type of program and learning process.
The unique structure of our Master of Acupuncture program enables students from out of state to live at home and attend intensive sessions in Gainesville three times a year for the first two years of the program. Students then relocate to Florida for a year-long residential clinical internship. During this residential year students enrolled in the Chinese Herbal Studies program also complete a series of short intensives and weekly classes devoted herbal education.
