Welcome to the Academy's web site, and to the inspiring world of Five Element acupuncture. We hope you enjoy exploring our site. We offer a highly distinctive Acupuncture and Herbal Studies curriculum with a specific focus on the Five Element tradition. Our program is exciting, stimulating and demanding. We are looking for individuals who are academically accomplished as well as mature, compassionate, and interested in their own inner work.
Our next class begins January 4, 2011 in Gainesville, Florida.
Here are some highlights:
- Our Master of Acupuncture degree program can be completed in 36-months. It begins with a series of 2 to 3 week intensive sessions per quarter, and is followed by a 12-month clinical internship at the school in Gainesville.
- An advantage of our unique structure is that students do not need to reside in Florida for the first two years of the program. In fact, we enroll students from literally all over the U.S. as well as many countries worldwide.
- Our curriculum is rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Five Elements and traditional Taoism.
- Our programs are particularly compatible with the needs of adult learners and people with significant prior life experience, who are strongly motivated and self-directed, and who favor a flexible learning structure.
- We are a small school with classes of 18-25 students. We offer each student highly personalized attention – you will not be an invisible “face in the crowd” at the Academy.
- We offer a unique Chinese Herbal Studies program that incorporates a Five Element perspective and complements the Five Element acupuncture studies.
- Our teaching faculty live all over the U.S. – most are experienced clinicians with busy private practices, as well as gifted instructors.
- Our nationally-accredited program satisfies licensure eligibility standards in most U.S. states.
- Title IV federal financial aid is available to qualified students. There are also low interest loans for tuition and living costs available through arrangements we have with private lenders.
We invite you to carefully review the materials on our site. If you have specific questions, or wish to arrange a visit to the school, please feel free to call, write, or email us. We wish you the best on your journey.
