Medical Qigong Therapist Level (Level 2)
The Academy is pleased to announce that we are offering the Medical Qigong Therapist certificate trainings.
The Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT)certification begins June 4, 2010.
The MQT certification is open to all health care professionals and students of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that have completed the Medical Qigong Practitioner Certification (MQP). You do not need to have received your MQP with our program to enroll. In addition to cultivating your own Qi, this training will enable you to use Qigong to enhance your skills in the medical/healing arts. As you will see in the syllabus, the course is quite extensive. Those who have completed it attest that it has made a big difference in their healing practices.
The Academy is thrilled to offer this certification in partnership with the world-renowned International Institute of Medical Qigong (IIMQ).
We are also very pleased to welcome to the Academy Dr. Bernard Shannon, Executive Director of IIMQ. Joining Dr. Shannon as core instructors will be Dr. Lisa VanOstrand, D.M.Q. Official dates for Medical Qigong Therapist program 2010:
This certification program will meet on the following dates:

6: June 4-8, 2010
- Session
7: August 20-24, 2010
- Session
8: October 22-26, 2010
- Session
9: December 10-14, 2010
- MQG
Clinic and Exam: March 4-8, 2011
Format
This certification will be offered as five intensive sessions, each a duration of five days, over the course of one year. All five intensives will be held at the Academy in Gainesville, Florida. Click here to read more about our school in Gainesville.
Cost
The cost of the Medical Qigong Therapist certification is $4,900. Payment plans are available.
Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT)
Prerequisite for certification in the Medical Qigong Therapist program is the successful completion of the requirements for Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP). This is a 500 hour Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT) certification program. This program will include oral and practical examinations plus clinical competencies. Successful completion of the
examinations will enable the student to also qualify for the more advanced 1000-hour Master of Medical Qigong (MMQ) program (not currently offered at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture).
