CHANGE OF DATE ANNOUNCEMENT:

This workshop will now take place in 2 parts: August 10 and August 24 from 1pm-5pm. Licensed practitioners will receive 8 FL CEUs or NCCAOM AOM PDAs available for licensed acupuncturists (approval pending) if they attend both parts. Attendees will not be able to attend Part 2 without attending Part 1.

This class will discuss treating pathophysiology from a Five Element perspective.  We will cover how to translate signs and symptoms into the language of the Officials, conceptualize pathophysiology from the standpoint of the functions of the Officials, and develop treatment principles for a number of hypothetical patient presentations.  The discussion will include treating the Officials within a Five Element context.

This course is intended for practitioners trained in Five Element Acupuncture, particularly alumni of the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the progression of treatment from intake to treatment of Officials;
  • Conceptualize signs and symptoms in terms of impaired functions of one or more Officials;
  • Utilize a Diagnostic Summary framework to capture assessment data;
  • Develop treatment principles that directly impact identified pathophysiology and treat the CF;
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the above.
