October 18-19
9:00 am-5:00 pm

This class will lay the foundation for a broad and deep appreciation of pulse diagnosis. On the first day we will concentrate on the big picture by looking at the whole pulse looking at issues of stability and comparing the left to the right side. We will also consider the three depths (Qi, Blood, Organ) and the three heaters. On the second day we will examine all the qualities that emerge as the pulse transitions to a state of jing deficiency through a path of primarily yin or yang deficiency. Emphasis will be placed on understanding physiology as gleaned through the pulse and all qualities will be demonstrated by example. We will discuss herb formulas and acupuncture point combinations for different pulse types. This class will be hands on and is recommended for practitioners and students with any degree of experience.
