Introduction to Scalp Acupuncture for Neurological Conditions

This is a hands-on interactive class designed to familiarize the participants with the basic therapeutic zones of scalp acupuncture in the Jiao system. The majority of Jiao scalp zones correspond to modern neuroanatomy of the cerebral cortex and are used to treat many neurological conditions including stroke and Parkinson’s disease. The therapeutic uses of each zone will be discussed and, under the guidance of the instructor, students will work in pairs to identify each zone.
