Knowledge of the Self is the path to knowing our patients. While Chinese medicine excels at allowing us to differentiate individuals it is rooted in the deepest view of union. In this class I differentiate aspects of the self and the forces that act upon it. It is essential for us practitioners to be able to locate these within our own experience in a way that is embodied, heartfelt, and non-abstract. This is foundational to the integral practice of a medicine that leaves no significant part of the self behind.
This will be Lonny Jarrett’s first live & in-person workshop since 2020.
Lonny Jarrett has been practicing Chinese Medicine in Western Massachusetts since 1986. He is a founding board member of the Ac. Soc. Of Mass. and a Fellow of the National Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Lonny is author of Nourishing Destiny: The Inner Tradition of Chinese Medicine, The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine, and Deepening Perspectives on Chinese Medicine. He holds a master’s degree in neurobiology and a fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Lonny apprenticed with Leon Hammer for 10 years and has taught pulse diagnosis since 1991. He was featured in the text, “The Great Work of Your Life: A Guide for the Journey to Your True Calling” by best selling author Stephen Cope.
