Our Faculty Hard at Work

The recent Faculty-At-Large Meeting, held virtually on March 15-16, 2025, was a highly productive and collaborative event focused on advancing the Academy’s mission and academic excellence. Faculty members engaged in thoughtful discussions and strategic planning to refine program goals, enhance curriculum, and strengthen alumni relations.
Key outcomes of the meeting included:
- New Program Goals: Faculty drafted new program goals for both the Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine (CCHM) programs, ensuring alignment with institutional values and professional standards.
- Refined Program Outcomes: Faculty reviewed and refined program outcomes for both the M.Ac. and CCHM programs, ensuring alignment with institutional values and professional standards.
- Curriculum Assessment & Development: The meeting marked the beginning of a structured curriculum review process, incorporating faculty feedback to improve student learning outcomes and clinical preparedness. A Curriculum Development Committee is in the process of being formed to oversee these efforts.
- Alumni Engagement Initiatives: Innovative strategies were discussed to foster deeper connections with alumni, including mentorship programs, virtual events, and continuing education opportunities.
Throughout the meeting, faculty members expressed a renewed sense of connection to the Academy and its vital mission—to educate highly effective, compassionate, and successful Five Element practitioners who provide exceptional, personalized patient care. The spirit of collaboration and shared purpose was evident, reinforcing the Academy’s commitment to excellence, service, and the transformative power of a Five Element Acupuncture education.
