I focus on finding the unique path to health and wellness for every person who comes through my door. As a nurse I recognize that acupuncture and herbs aren’t something people in the U.S. have been exposed to. We live in a society where we go to a doctor when we get sick, we expect to deal with the symptoms of illness by taking medicine, and we just deal with the other everyday pain and health issues we encounter until they are bad enough to go see the doctor again and begin the cycle of treating symptoms. What would happen if we could prevent that cycle by balancing your body before you get sick? Acupuncture and herbs can help to prevent disease from affecting you and your life before you get sick. They can also support you when you are already sick and getting other medical treatments that affect your body, your mind, and your spirit. There are other healing modalities to explore, too, and I invite you to use my extensive library and my knowledge as a researcher, to find answers to the challenges you face.
That’s why I named my practice “PINDUKA” (Swahali for turning your focus around), meaning, I want to help you change the way you look at your body, mind and spirit. YOU DESERVE to have more of those “moments” in life where your health is balanced and you feel able to take on the world!
Pinduka is situated in a rural health oasis just south of Gainesville, Florida. My free ranging flock of ducks sometimes waddle out to welcome visitors for acupuncture, herbal consults (herbal consults are also available via telehealth), or health consults. We are located in a newly designed relaxing and peaceful practice environment, and outside, a ZENSCAPE featuring local medicinal plants invites you to wander and feel at home. Whether you come for support or treatment, you are welcome here!
