Welcome Rebekah Johnson, New Executive Director
In April, the school announced Rebekah Johnson as the new Executive Director at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. Rebekah, a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Education lives in Gainesville, Florida with her husband, Steve, and two children, Ryan and Madison.
For the past six years, she has worked as a school administrator in K-12 education, specifically at Oak Hall, a highly regarded independent school, where she worked as the Director of Advancement. During her leadership at Oak Hall she developed an enrollment management strategy that yielded high retention and overall enrollment growth for a two-year period, spearheaded a marketing campaign that expanded the school’s social media and digital footprints, and revitalized the fundraising program. She is passionate about community engagement and has extensive professional experience with alumni development. She is an advocate for inclusive education and is a member of University of Florida’s Equitable Learning Technology Lab which is dedicated to promoting accessible education for a diverse group of learners.
Prior to accepting the position at the Academy, Rebekah had the opportunity to tour campus, meet with students, faculty, and staff. “I am delighted to join the Academy community,” said Rebekah. “I was so impressed by the warmth and passion that I witnessed during my visit. I look forward to partnering with you to implement programs that ensure the continued traditions and teaching of Five Element Acupuncture.”
